West Georgia Brass Quintet to be Featured

The Choral Society of West Georgia, under the direction of Bettie Biggs, has announced the guest narrator and featured performers for their upcoming concert “We Gather Together.” This will be a concert of Praise, Thanksgiving and Remembrance.  Two performances will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in LaGrange, Georgia.  Saturday, November 17th, 2018 at 7:00 p.m., and Sunday, November 18th, 2018 at 5:30 p.m. 

Guest narrator is the Rev. Dr. John Beyers, Sr. Minister at First Methodist Church, LaGrange. 

Featured musicians are the West Georgia Brass Quintet under the direction of Dr. Brandon Slocumb. Dr. Slocomb, trombone, is Director of Bands and Brass studies at LaGrange College.  Dr. Michael Covington and Dr. Mark DiGoti are professors of trumpet at Auburn University,  Dr. Natalie Brooke Higgins, French Horn and Mr. Bernard Flythe, tuba, are both professors at the Columbus State University Schwob School of Music.
